Before we really got into 2019, I made a previous blog post talking about attainable goals for the new year instead of the dreaded term, “resolution.”
How is that going for you?! Let me fill you in on my progress (or lack there of) to make ya feel a little accountable and know that you’re not alone!!
- Spend a few hours each week reading, listening to a podcast or writing! Nailed it so far! One podcast you may love is Armchair Expert! As for the ladies, Karen from JR Mornings bought me a great book for Christmas by Rachel Hollis called “Girl, Wash Your Face.”
- GET OUTSIDE! Where is your favourite place to hike?! Quarry Rock is mine, great quick little hike while the weather is beautiful!
- Clean out your inbox and sort your emails! This is where I fail. Anyone have a solid method?! I’m not the most organized, but I did start fresh on Twitter this year. Follow me, I’ll follow back! @bklyndrdgr
- Try to avoid social media until 11am if possible – replace it with a more productive task! Three weeks into 2019 and I’ve yet to conquer this!
- Go through your phone and organize your photos and apps! Yet to do this! How do you organize your apps?!
- Delete your exes number! Ha! DONE! I hope you’ve done this too!!!!!
- Unsubscribe from all unwanted email marketing! Do you know HOW good it feels to press that tiny lil “unsubscribe” button?!
- Have a phone free night with family and loved ones. I plan on this soon. Put all of your phones in a basket at the beginning of the night!
- Try something new – running, yoga, baking, plant-based eating, piano! Happy to say I’ve conquered some plant-based meals like zucchini noodles, veggie burgers, switched my dairy milk to coconut milk AND you KNOW A&W has the best veggie burger in town. Your diet is YOUR diet and I am not trying to endorse anything, but these healthy differences have me feeling great.
- Make a long list of everything you are grateful for in your life! Every day, I challenge you to start yours! I write down in this 2 Minute Journal every day and it feels good to start your day off with that perspective.
I even vouched on air that I’ll be a bit easier on myself when it comes to ‘resolutions,’ 😉
