Tenille Townes Leaves Record Label
Canadian country star Tenille Townes has gone independent!
The “Somebody’s Daughter” singer announced she was in her “Freedom Era” on Wednesday (August 21st). She shared the news in a Tiktok titled “When you decide to leave your Nashville record label”.
Townes had been working with now former record label Sony Music Nashville for over seven years. She decided to part ways with the label due to creative differences.
In the video Townes shared that it has “creatively been a struggle” and “we’ve just not been seeing eye to eye on my path and my music”.
Tenille Townes is in high spirits during the miniute long video and is asking fans to “come along with me” in her new independent artist journey.

Tenille Townes is set to come to Vancouver this Fall!
Townes brings her “Thing That Brought Me Here Tour” to Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom November 22nd. She’s bringing along fellow Canadian country singer Robyn Ottolini to open for the last leg of the tour, including her Vancouver show.
