This year was a doozy, not a lot going on, and not a lot of people going out…but that doesn’t mean date nights can’t still happen! Here are some fun, COVID friendly suggestions for you and your special someone!

Get cooking with one another!
A Pizza night in BUT hands on! A fun date night activity for the two of you, to do together! Nothing says romance, like rolling up your sleeves and making some ZAAAAAA together!
You can always buy all the ingredients yourself but Rocky Mountain FlatBread has some awesome pizza and cocktail kits to go, which makes it even easier! If you’ve never been to Nook Restaurant in Vancouver, no need to put your fancy pants on and dine in… because you can bring Nook home and cook it up in the comfort of your own kitchen! Nook has ‘The Pasta Room’ where you can snag everything they use in their epic meals, but cook it up at home! You can add to it, or just leave it as is, but another great option to spice things up on date night!

It’s always nice to take a break from the old ‘Netflix and Chill’ and shake things up on a Friday night ! Don’t get me wrong, I love binge watching a good murder documentary, but I decided investing in some board games was also a great option! Really get wild during these COVID times…
This might sound lame to some, but with more time at home, board games are a great option!! I stocked up and snagged some new cards for Big 2 (a fav in my household), UNO, a fresh Scrabble board, and ‘What Do You Meme?’ All awesome options! That being said, you can never have too many games in your cupboard, so treat yourself!
Grab a game, a bottle of wine, and enjoy the evening! I know a lot of places sell these games, but it’s always great to find that local gem in your community! For me it’s The Granville Island Toy Company, so if you’re in Vancouver and in need of some games, check them out!

Another great idea, is getting out of the house and heading to the drive-in theater!
Twilight is an awesome date night idea, super COVID friendly, and as long as it’s in your health region and open, definitely worth checking out! Treat yourself to a date night at the movies! Even better, pack some snacks and warm blankets to add that extra cozy element!

Have a bit of a Sunday Funday!
If your house is anything like mine, Football is on EVERY Sunday, and thank god for beer, because it makes it tolerable… If you feel like swapping out the beer for something else though, shake things up and make some cheeky cocktails instead!
I mean you could do this any day of the week, but if you’re going to do this check out BarKart! They have pre-made cocktail kits that they’ll deliver straight to your door! All the booze, mix, and garnish included! Prices vary but check out there website and see if anything tickles your fancy!

Snow shoeing is always a fun date idea!
Bundle up and get outdoors! Pack some hot coco and enjoy! Lot’s of great local mountains to check out; Cypress, Seymour, and Grouse Mountain all great for snow shoeing and all offer rentals as well.
