“From a young age, I was drawn to music and the storytelling in songs. Music was a staple in our Burnaby home growing up. On the way to Hockey or Soccer games, my parents would encourage my brothers and I to really listen to the lyrics of a song and try to understand what they’re saying. It would often be Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash or Elvis! In high school (Alpha Secondary), I got into musical theatre and immediately picked up the guitar and started writing songs! I have 20 years’ worth of books and napkins with lyrics on them and am just now starting to get them out into the world!”
