Megan Moroney’s Third Album, February 2026?

Megan Moroney’s new single “6 Months Later” (listen here) has been on repeat — and honestly, how could it not be?! It’s upbeat, catchy, and the ultimate post-breakup anthem for anyone who’s ever had an ex come crawling back. We’ve all been there, so yeah… we’re singing this one a little louder — just in case they’re listening, LOL.
Megan has built a reputation for giving us those scream-at-the-top-of-your-lungs kind of songs — from “Man on the Moon” and “Indifferent” to “No Caller ID” and “Am I Okay.” Each track delivers raw emotion wrapped vocals and undeniable hooks.
All of these songs come from her sophomore album, “Am I Okay,” which boasts the third-biggest Billboard 200 debut of the year by a female country artist. The album’s PLATINUM-certified title track, “Am I Okay,” recently hit No. 1 on Country radio, topping the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart.
With over 3 billion global streams across all platforms, Megan Moroney’s star power is undeniable — and she’s just getting started.
The singer is currently on her “Am I Okay” tour, and fans are already buzzing about what’s next! And in true Swiftie-style fashion, Megan may have dropped a few Easter eggs in her posts…
Exhibit A: She recently posted a picture from the “6 Months Later” music video with the caption, “…ok that’s dramatic.” In the background of the photo, two posters are visible — one reads “It’s a Long Way Down” and the other, “The world is hard on beautiful things.” Both appear to reference unreleased songs Megan has teased over the past year, sending fans into a frenzy.
@megmoroney wrote this song with my niece in mind🥲 when she was born i remember being in awe of how sweet and perfect she was & i (in true emo cowgirl fashion) was sad knowing that when she grows up the world may be cruel to her sometimes… inevitably she’ll get her feelings hurt by friends or her heart broken or just have bad days & i wanted her to be able to have a song to listen to if and when she ever needs it
There’s also been plenty of speculation about the next album’s colour theme. Lucky was green, Am I Okay was blue — now fans are debating whether the next era will be yellow, pink, or purple. Personally, I’m going with pink! Everything she’s posted has been a Barbiecore aesthetic, which can only mean… PINK!
And in exciting news, Megan recently revealed that the new album is “probably like 80% written” — and this time around, it’s more a “light, carefree and happy” sound. Sounds like a fresh sound for a new era and we’re here for it Meg!
But Moroney will likely continue riding the wave of Am I Okay as it dominates the charts, especially with her tour running through the fall. The final stop wraps up in Australia on October 26th — and since major album releases typically slow down towards the end of the year, it’s safe to guess she’ll hold off on the next drop until early 2026.
So if you ask me, I’m calling it now… Megan’s next album is coming February 2026, just before Valentines day!
And Moroney fans — mark your calendars: Megan is bringing her tour to Vancouver on September 24th for a show at UBC! So get those white cowboy boots, sparkly fits and ribbons ready!
