Megan Moroney Is Telling All!
The “I’m Not Pretty” singer is finally clearing the air on her rumored romance with Morgan Wallen. The rumors started nearly 2 years ago when Moroney released her hit single “Tennessee Orange”.
Fans quickly linked the two singers as Wallen was a Tennesse Vols fan and had been commenting on Moroney’s Instagram posts.
Moroney later confirmed that the Vols shirt she wore in the album art for “Tennessee Orange” belonged to Wallen.
During her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast the “Man On The Moon” singer spoke on the rumors for the first time. Moroney revealed the singers had romantic feelings for each other, but it was never anything serious.
“Did you date Morgan Wallen?” podcast host Alex Cooper asked. Moroney replied saying “Never exclusively,” and “I have tried to avoid that in every single interview I’ve ever done. But we’re here now and time has passed and all is well.”.
Cooper followed up with asking if “Tennessee Orange” was about Wallen, which Moroney responded to saying “I will not say who I sing my songs about ever.”.
When asked why the fling between her and Morgan Wallen ended, Moroney said “It was never a relationship, here’s what I’ll tell you though because I haven’t told anyone this ever. Him and I met in 2020. Jon Langston actually introduced us. I was a senior in college — COVID hadn’t happened yet, his Dangerous album wasn’t even out yet. So we were friends for a long time.”.
Ultimately the singers had busy schedules and didn’t have time to really form anything into a relationship.
