George Strait Breaks Concert Attendance Record!
George Strait broke a huge record at his concert in Texas this weekend!
Strait had thousands of fans attending his concert last Saturday (June 15th). The show taking place at Kyle Field held 110,905 people breaking the U.S record for the largest ticketed concert event.
The record was previously held by rock band the Grateful Dead. They claimed the record back in 1977 when they had 107,019 fans attend their show at Raceway Park in New Jersey.
Strait gave fans quite a show! He performed 31 songs and including a 5 song encore of hits like “Check Yes or No” and “Here For A Good Time”. Texas native and rising country star Parker McCollum opened the show for Strait.
