Here is a list of some of the biggest country artists that started their career on TV:
Carrie Underwood – American Idol
Carrie Underwood competed on the fourth season of American Idol back in 2005. She went on to win the show and skyrocketed to superstar status.
Morgan Wallen – The Voice
Morgan Wallen was on season six of The Voice. Originally joining the show on Team Usher and eventually getting traded to Team Adam Levine. He didn’t make it very far and was eliminated in the “Playoffs”.
Kacey Musgraves – Nashville Star
Kacey Musgraves competed on the fifth season of Nashville Star. She ended up placing seventh on the show.
Miranda Lambert – Nashville Star
Miranda Lambert competed on the first season of Nashville Star back in 2003. She ended up placing in third.
Scotty McCreery – American Idol
Scotty McCreery competed on the tenth season of American Idol. He went on to win the season.
