Wallen performed a rescheduled show in Oxford, Mississippi. The show came just a day after his public statement on his arrest via Twitter/X.
A year prior Wallen cancelled his show in Oxford minutes before taking the stage. Fans found out following the performances of Wallenโs openers at the time ERNEST and HARDY.
A message appeared on the stage when fans were expecting Wallen to come on saying โโLadies and Gentlemen, unfortunately, Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight. Therefore tonightโs show has been cancelled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonightโs event will be available at point of purchase.โ.
Saturday night (April 20th) he made it up to all those fans and returned! He poked fun at last yearโs sudden cancellation by putting another message on the screens before doing his signature walkout on stage.
During the show Wallen referenced his recent publicity before playing his song โ98โฒ Bravesโ.
He said, โIn high school, I almost got kicked off the [baseball] teamโฆI was a little rowdy back then. I guess Iโm still a little rowdy now.โ
