Keith Urban to Join Season 25 of The Voice as Mega Mentor

Keith Urban has joined season 25 of The Voice as a Mega Mentor!
Urban has quite the history with singing competition shows. He previously appeared as a judge on American Idol for seasons 12 to 15, judged on and off on The Voice Australia, and served as an advisor for Blake Sheltonโs team during season 15 of The Voice.
As Mega Mentor Urban is brought in to advise the contestants that have made it through the โBattle Roundsโ, going into the next round, โThe Knockoutsโ.
Past Mega Mentors include Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Mariah Carey, Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, and current Voice judges Reba McEntire and John Legend!
When asked about his new role on The Voice and past as a judge on singing competition shows Urban said โThat was home for me for several seasons, and the mentoring part is probably one of the things I always enjoyed the most, getting to work with the artist one-on-one.โ.
This seasonโs judge lineup on The Voice is leaning heavier on the country side.
With Team Reba and Team Dan + Shay making waves this season, it made sense that they would bring in another country music superstar like Keith Urban as this yearโs Mega Mentor.
In addition to his new duties on The Voice, Keith Urban has teased new music is coming!
The โSomebody Like Youโ singer is said to be getting ready to release his new album. This album features his recent singles โStraight Lineโ and โMessed Up as Meโ.
There is no word on when we can expect the album, but Urban is keeping fans entertained on Instagram teasing his new music, and showing off his incredible guitar skills.
