The making of “Mamaw’s House”…
Thomas Rhett wrote the hit song over Zoom back in 2020 with Morgan Wallen. While on the call Wallen got a call from his grandmother. This got the two talking about how their grandmothers have influenced their lives, and the hit was born!
When creating the song the country singers decided to add a snippet of Wallen’s call with his grandmother that sparked the idea for the song as a personal touch.
When releasing the song Rhett shared a video of him and Wallen talking about the song. “We really just wrote this song about small town piece of paradise. I could remember growing up and going to my mamie’s and my Mamaw’s house, who both lived in South Georgia at the time. I feel like so many life lessons were learned at their house.” Rhett shared in the video.

The song was released back in September as an additional song on Thomas Rhett’s “20 Number Ones (Bonus Version)” Album.
The project was a compilation of Rhett’s number one hits celebrating his career milestones. The “Bonus Version” of the album includes “Mamaw’s House” which later went on to become a single.
