Beyoncé Reveals Artwork For ‘Cowboy Carter’ And The Inspiration Behind The Upcoming Album

Beyoncé’s new album Act II: Cowboy Carter is set to be released on March 29th.
The “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” singer shared the album artwork and a statement about the album to Instagram yesterday (March 19). The photo shows Beyoncé looking patriotic dressed in red, white and blue, on a white horse, holding a red and white striped flag. In her statement the she explains the album came into fruition after an experience with the country music community that made her “did not feel welcomed”.

Fans are speculating the inspiration for the album and unwelcoming experience Beyoncé is referring to is her 2016 performance with The Chicks at The CMA Awards.
Beyoncé performed her hit song “Daddy Lessons” off of her ‘Lemonade’ album on the CMA stage with The Chicks. At the time when country fans heard word that Beyoncé would be taking the CMA’s stage, many called for a “CMA’s boycott” on social media.

Beyoncé has released two singles off of her upcoming album “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” and “16 Carriages“. With that she has made history being the first black woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 with a country song.
The singer gives the credit to her fans and supporters for helping her achieve this historic accomplishment. “That would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant.” she regarding the success of new release “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM“.
