Ernest And Jelly Roll Tease New Collaboration

Ernest shared an audio snippet to Instagram on Monday (Feb 12th) of what seems to be a new song collaboration with Jelly Roll.
โI went to College, I went to Jail One was a dorm room, and one was a cell. Who came out on top? Hell, itโs hard to tell.โ โ The duo sing in the short song snippet.

This collaboration doesnโt come as a surprise to some as the country singing friends have teased a possible collaboration in the past. Ernest and Jelly Roll were on Theo Vonโs This Past Weekend podcast back in December and talked about writing this song together with the help of Luke Bryan.
Ernest was out golfing with Luke Bryan, listening to some rap music when Jelly Roll came up. โI used to go by Jellyโs house and acquire some things, and weโd freestyle rap. And this was back in like 2010. Then I went to college, and he went to jail, and then we came back around all these years later. Then Luke was like, โHold on, you better write that also took song right now!โ โ Ernest shared on the podcast.
Following the song idea Ernest and Luke proceeded to Facetime Jelly Roll, and drunkenly sing at him and build this song while still on the course.

The country singers did end up making real progress with the song about their friendship since then. We can expect to hear it on Ernestโs new album.
There has been no release date for the album, or the song yet but we will be eagerly watching their socials for any news on the releases!
