Watch the Trailer For Lifetime’s Movie About Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn

The official trailer for the upcoming Lifetime movie, Patsy & Loretta is out. The movie focuses on the close friendship between Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn up until Patsy’s untimely death in 1963 in a plane crash. Megan Hilty (Smash) plays Patsy, and Broadway star Jessie Mueller takes on the role of Loretta.

The TV movie will focus on Lynn’s ascent as a country singer, Patsy’s near-fatal car crash in 1961, and her untimely death in a plane crash just two years later.  Loretta, who considered Patsy a mentor, later released an album in her honor, I Remember Patsy, which included several covers of Cline’s songs, including “Crazy” and “I Fall to Pieces.” Loretta would also go on to name one of her daughters Patsy

Patsy & Loretta is set to air on the Lifetime network this fall.
