NHL Playoffs Are Here! Who Does a Country Loving Vancouver Canucks Fan Cheer For Though??
Remember back when the Canucks made the playoffs? Those were the golden days of our lives. The gold has washed away, and here you are in April once again trying to figure out who to cheer for in the annual battle for the Cup.
Don’t know who to cheer for? This might help…
Canadian Teams: Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames -> So Winnipeg I guess? TO is TO and Canucks fans can’t cheer for Calgary…can they?
Teams with Most Canadian Born Players: St. Louis Blues (19) Vegas Golden Knights (16) Calgary Flames (13) San Jose Sharks (10) -> I see You St. Louis!! FYI Washington and Boston only have FOUR Canadians. Jerks!
Teams with Most BC Born Players: Nashville Predators (5), San Jose (3), NYI, Pitt, TO, Colorado and Vegas (2) -> Bonus for Nashville: My cousin is married to Matt Irwin from Victoria!
Off The Board: Graeme Gordon is childhood friends with San Jose goalie, North Van’s own Marty Jones. When you win the cup, you get it of r a day in your hometown, and I am convinced that GG can talk Marty into bringing it to the radio station for at least 5 minutes…
Nashville Does get all the country stars to do the anthems. Or they did last year…
If you like things the old fashioned way, here’s what Vegas is saying:
Tampa Bay Lightning listed as 2-1 favorites to win it all.
The Calgary Flames (10-1)
Vegas Golden Knights (10-1)
Boston Bruins (12-1)
Washington Capitals (12-1)
Nashville Predators (12-1)
San Jose Sharks (12-1)
St. Louis Blues (14-1)
For the record I have Calgary and Tampa in the Final with the Lightening winning in 6. But I WANT Winnipeg vs NY Islanders. -Docc
