While you’re out back to school shopping, consider giving back to the community by donating a backpack full of new school supplies to these charities:
The Salvation Army – The Gateway of Hope in Langley
The last day you can drop off a donation is Saturday! Please drop off supplies to Gateway of Hope Langley: 5787 Langley Bypass anytime from 8pm to 4pm.
Salvation Army – Vancouver Community
To donate school supplies, please drop donations off at 3213 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:00PM).
Supplies needed include: pens, pencils, pencil crayons, markers, sharpeners, erasers, rulers, glue sticks, duo-tangs, paper, and backpacks.
The SOS Children’s Village BC
They have a goal to fill 100 backpacks to benefit foster kids and other underprivileged students in Surrey’s communities.
Did you know: Surrey has 126 schools across the district with MORE than 1,000 children aged 6-18 who are in need of school supplies!
You can donate cash, gift cards or backpacks filled with school supplies at the SOS Children’s Village in Surrey

The North Shore Neighbourhood House is looking for school supply donations and arts and crafts material!
