Tonight (July 28th) marks the first of three nights where you can watch an incredible firework show from countries across the world! If you’re not a stone’s throw away from English Bay where it all kicks off later this evening with South Africa, no worries!
TransLink has our backs, announcing it will increase transit service on Celebration of Light nights. This starts this evening at 6:30pm and will start the same times on August 1st and August 4th. Many bus routes are scheduled to make EXTRA trips to downtown. Since the streets are always squishy chaos with crowds of THOUSANDS, keep in mind TransLink stated they’ll provide additional service after the show as well.
A few things to note:
- The last scheduled train will leave Waterfront Station at 1:16 a.m.
- Every train will be in service immediately following the fireworks.
- No bikes on the SkyTrain after 10 p.m. on festival nights due to heavy crowds
- The SeaBus leaves every 10 minutes between 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight and every half hour from midnight until the last sailing from Waterfront at 1:22 a.m.
