How not to haul trees in Abbotsford, please and thank you.
If you’re a cop, you probably have to develop a sense of humour based simply on the sheer number of head-shaking events you see regularly.
Saturday afternoon (June 30th) Cst. Mangat of Abbotsford PD saw the car in this picture attempting to haul several trees on it’s roof, tied down with…a garden hose?
Cst. Manga tweeted it thusly:
"Is there a problem officer?"
Me: Are you serious?

You don’t have to look closely to see a number of other “fun” safety issues including a broken trailer hitch, all kinds of body and door problems and at least one tire that, to my eyes, looks like it’s riding on the rim.
In the driver’s defense, he does seem to have that garden hose wrapped pretty darn tight around the side mirror…??
The constable also reported that the driver was “cooperative and extremely apologetic” and was “caught up trying to get some yard work done”. Nonetheless, the man was fined and his car was towed because…rules. All the rules.
And even given all of that, I’ll bet this wasn’t the dumbest thing you’ve seen on the road recently…
