Show Your Team Spirit on Super Bowl Sunday with Patriots or Eagles Cocktails
If you want to skip beer on Super Bowl Sunday and class it up with cocktails while showing your team spirit, Food Network magazine created cocktails for every NFL team for their issue that came ahead of the big game, and the two they created for this year’s Super Bowl teams are the Patriotic Sparkler for the New England Patriots and the Eagle’s Nest for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Patriotic Sparkler: Freeze red and blue sports drinks in separate ice cube trays. Combine 1/2 cup white cranberry juice and 1 1/2 ounces vodka in a tall glass. Add the red and blue ice cubes. Top with seltzer.
Eagle’s Nest: Shake 2 ounces gin, 1/2 ounce each lemon juice, maraschino liqueur, melon liqueur and creme de violette and 1/4 ounce lime juice in a shaker with ice; strain into a martini glass.
