4 Year Old From Abby Surprises Parents With Plan To Help The Homeless
4 year old Dave Rigdon already has a firm grasp of what it means to help those that need it most.
On walks with his Mom, Super Dave began collecting empty bottles he sees on the ground. His Mom was a little embarrassed but decided there is no harm in having her kid (and his younger brother) earn some money. She figured he’d cash them in for a toy – again he’s 4 – BUT David surprised her…
“Mom, I want to cash them in and give money to the homeless and maybe they won’t be homeless anymore,” David said. Danielle burst into tears, gave her son a big hug and said, “Honey, that is wonderful!”
His parents have been through rough times, but it didn’t stop them from raising one AMAZING boy! Great work, guys!
Super Dave has raised about $60 so far, and plans on giving MOST of it to Chilliwack’s Pearl Life Renewal Society, which offers support and services to sexually exploited girls and women.
He also wants to buy a toy police car.
And he should.
