In broadcast school (yes, we go to school) my instructor Sandra Lummiss said to me “Docc, you have the ability to say anything to anyone without them getting offended”.
In front of the whole class, 18 year old me told her to shut her “Wrinkly old face”…After a slight pause, she and the whole class erupted in triumphant cheers. They may have carried me out of the school on their shoulders as they chanted my name…I can’t really remember.
The moment has always stayed with me.

Don Rickles is…damn…WAS…the KING of the insult that keeps you smiling. He was a LEGEND of the Celebrity Roast. Just one of the funniest humans on the planet.
